How to remove worn or broken rod guides

Tools needed:

STEP 1

a)

Warm up epoxy layer to soften it.
b)

Cut epoxy & thread wrap with sharp knife (cut away for yourself).
c)

Peel off thread & epoxy layer.
d)

Remove any bits of thread.
STEP 2

a)

To remove tip top: Once thread & epoxy has been removed as in (Step 1), remove tip top. Heat tube of tip top.
b)

Move back & forth tip in flame.
c)

Using pliers pull the tip top off the rod.
