Tools needed:

STEP 1		STEP 2


Always wear protective gloves. Cut & peel away shrink tube or Duplon or Cork if the rod has this by the Reel Seat.		Unscrew hooded nut. Using cutters cut away metal hood. Wind tape onto blank to protect it.

STEP 3		STEP 4


Using hacksaw blade, carefully cut plastic body of Reel Seat.		Use the screwdriver blade to open up the slot in the Reel Seat and break it off the blank.

STEP 5


Remove the tape, lightly sand the blank and clean with methylated spirit.
