New aspect of Butt guide

K-R concept [BAIT CASTING] For choosing top guide and butt guide, Fuji made a research through all the existing guides and finally got the result that KW guides and KT guides are the most suitable guides for bait casting rod  specification in terms of height, strength and tangle free function.

Bait casting version  1

In Bait Casting, line is almost choked (unspread) even just after left from the spool as level wind is equipped in front of the spool on Bait Casting reel.

Hence’ it is not necessary to Choke again at Butt guide and in this theory no Butt guide of bigger than the dia. of the level wind is necessary. However, in reality. stiff line is sometimes heavily curled and it causes the friction when it flows into Butt guide.

Then, Butt guide of slightly bigger dia. with high frame design can lead the line flows smoothly into Belly guides.

The necessity of Butt guide is to have adequate size and height to avoid the functionj of curled line when passing through the level wind to Belly guides.

Bait Casting version 2

Must-have double foot

The bigger the tension is, the more the load transfers from Tip towards Butt section  as the rod blanks are taper shaped.

Same thing applies on the guides; tough guides are required on the section which is closer to Butt in order to absorb the load. Hence, double foot guide iS recommended to be placed on Butt section as they are strong against “guide pulled out of the wrap" and “distortion”.

Spinning version 1

The uppermost is to avoid line-slapping.

When you cast with monofilament line of heavy specific gravity, spread line easily touches the blank. In order to avoid this, new frame which is taller than ordinary high frame is newly developed for new concept choke guides.

Spinning version 2

Rapid three-step choking system

In N-G-C, the guide specification comes from isosceles triangle based on the spool of spinning reel.

“Three-step choking system" is newly developed in K-R concept. Three guides in this "Three-step choking system" are enabled for
choking (unspreading) the line naturally and quickly. And it helps to flow the line into guides on Belly and Tip section smoothly.
By having this system, smaller guides are placeable on Belly section, which are almost in same size as guides on Tip section.
And this achieves significant rod weight saving. As a result, various essentials such as "sensitivity", "casting distance",
and so on, are dramatically improved compared to those of the N-G-C.
