For all of Braid and Monofilament lines, ultra light weight, a new generation guide technology.

You arrived to a fishing spot. You casted creating a best image of fishing! ...But the next moment a tangle occurred from casting! The line broke and the lure lost. Even if you didn't loose the lure, you feel impatient and it is bothersome to untangle the intricately tangled line. The line is also damaged. Your motivation goes down.

Fuji's mission began with the development of a guide which untangles the bothersome tangle from casting and also which takes over the functions below:

  • Low choking friction by appropriate ring size and height
  • Not stiffen a rod action with short length guide
  • Appropriate slope of the ring for better casting distance and line release

Beware of Crosswinds

There are some variation for a butt guide, but Fuji firstly began research the single foot high frame guide, "projection on a rod", which led to the highest number of tangles and has the highest degree of development difficulty. Fuji chose braided line, the most easily tangled line, for research. As the research began, the pattern which occurs tangle most frequently proved. They theorized the cause of "Loop tangling" was wind, and was able to capture on film using a high speed slow motion camera and the precise situation they had theorized.

1. As a cast is made, line comes off the reel spool at such high speed that it often creates a loop in the line that can actually pass the butt guide.

2. While this loop if forward of the guide, it is possible for even low crosswind speeds to push the loop between the line and rod ahead of the butt guide.

3. As the lure continues to pull line frokm the spool, the loop gets smaller and smaller.

4. Ultimately the loop clinches tightly around the guide.

5. The crest fails. Line stops instantly
